Prerequisites
- High school, High School Equivalent or Equivalent, or higher matriculated
- 18 years of age or older

Step 1
Complete required coursework
- 46-hours of NYCB approved Foundational Role Training
- 4-hours of NYCB approved Medication Supported Recovery

Step 2
Complete the following for a full Certified Peer Advocate Certification
- Earn 500 hours of paid and/or volunteer role experience
- Earn 25 hours being mentored/supervised

Complete your application for Certified Recovery Peer Advocate Certification

Pass the IC&RC Peer Recovery Certification Exam
- Sign up for and pass exam
